Last week I had the pleasure of giving a presentation/workshop at the SNAP Photography Festival in Wales. Originally I was meant to stay and take part for the whole week, but due to a bit of a shadow cast over by a health issue, I ended up being able to only visit on the day I was speaking. At some point I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to make it at all, but I am SO happy that I did, as even though my visit was briefer than I had planned, the spirit of the event had a chance to work its magic and give me such a lift.
I talked about designing beautiful moments for our clients with the aid of the Beloved technique, and I'm so happy and humbled for the lovely reception. I also got to demonstrate with a real couple in front of the audience, and I have to say our couple, Charis & Owen, were just amazing and had us all alternating between stitches of laughter and tears with their sincerity.
I'm so impressed with what Laura Babb has created with SNAP. There was a special atmosphere to the whole event and clearly a special bond has been forged between all the attendees. As an artist it's so precious to get to immerse yourself in such a creative, inspiring environment and spend time surrounded with people who are excited, open, hungry and dreaming BIG.
If you are a photographer in search of a jolt of inspiration and more education you can probably process in just one week, make sure you'll join SNAP next year!
