So, we may have done enough teasing over the last month with our behind the scenes look at what the Her Lovely Heart team got up to on our creative inspiration shoot at Aynhoe Park. Well now, we're very excited to show you the real fruits of our labour with the first instalment of the shoot, which was ‘Candy' inspired.
The concept for doing the shoot came about as Marianne Taylor has for a few years teamed up with the talented florist Steph from Fairynuff Flowers to do a mini inspiration shoot to get the creative juices flowing. This year, however it got a little bigger [well, actually much bigger] as it was a great opportunity for all the photographers at Her Lovely Heart to all come together to shoot, create, and play with a little added creative styling, stunning backdrops and some rather beautiful muses.
There were three loose themes for the HLH team to shoot [we don't do things by halves!] which were; CANDY, GLITTER and ROMANCE all of which were based around the concept of a creative nail art design which was then translated into each look across all the elements such as the flowers, the make up, hair and overall styling.
We were fortunate enough to work with an amazing team of talented suppliers and designers [see above] who helped translate the concept into reality with the day being co-ordinated and styled by Charley Beard at London Bride.
We wanted the ‘Candy' theme to be sugary but grown up, playful but elegant and of course with little sprinkles of colour….sweet but not sickly! The nail look created by Georgie for this was a fun take on the french manicure with a colourful pink base teamed with a contrasting mint green tip, a great modern look for a bride wanting something a little more playful and modern.
This concept was brought to life with the sleek silhouette of the dress which balanced against the bold feature of a bright pink lip, and alluring eyes. A cheeky pop of colour was also brought in with a pair of glamorous heels and the ombre effect of the flowers in the bouquet softened the look with varying hues of pink tied up with the prettiest ribbons. For a playful element, we added a giant colourful balloon which, just like candy, can’t help but bring on a child-like state of mind.
You can see our initial concept for the theme on our Candy Pinterest board
We hope you've been inspired with this fun splash of sweetness, we'll be blogging the two other looks with the Romantic and Glitter themes to follow soon!Photography by Marianne Taylor, Nick Ray, Liz Wan and Sophie Evans.
