Hello Monday! It's time for the second chapter of The Heart List.
This week we're doing some stress-busting. Personally, I've been really struggling in the past few weeks with keeping my stress levels in check. There's so many unknowns and uncertainties in the air at the moment, which is always a bit of a risky time for me when it comes to staying focused, and taking care of myself. Don't you find that at times when you need to deal with a lot of extra hassle or uncertainty, it's the healthy habits you've worked hard to develop that go straight out the window first? After what feels like an endless supply of takeaway meals and pushing things I do to relax to the bottom of my list, this weekend I just felt like enough is enough.
Here's how it works. Below, you can download a printable pdf of the current Chapter. You can then fill yours in, blog it, and link to your blog post in the comments below, so we can all visit each others lists and get inspired!

Chapter Two: List your most effective stress-busters
So this week's Heart List is all about reminding ourselves about the things that help us deal with stress and rejuvenate us. Having these things actually written down on paper, makes them feel as important as the never-ending to-do-list next to them. The challenge is to try to incorporate at least one of these things into every day in order to manage your general stress levels. Here's my list, I'd love to see yours!
- Watching the ocean
- Sitting in silence and reading a book.
- Snuggling with cats (or the husband).
- Going for a swim.
- Laughing with a friend.
- Taking pictures just for fun.
- Getting lost in a good movie.
- Going for a walk in the forest or by the sea.
- Listening to music that moves me.
- Re-arranging furniture or tidying my desk.
- Writing a list!
- Painting something colourful.
- Sleeping in.
